Rifugio De Doo

Nel cuore del Comelico

Rifugio De Doo

Monte Zovo, in the heart of Comelico

The Rifugio de Doo is located above the village of Costa, just below the summit of Monte Zovo, in an open and panoramic position.

It is a simple but very rewarding destination: an accessible walk that leads through meadows and open spaces, with the option to stop at the mountain hut and then climb a few more minutes to the summit. From there the view opens out over the surrounding Dolomites.

How to get there

In summer you can head up from Costa (San Nicolò di Comelico) along the road that leads towards Monte Zovo, parking just below the mountain hut and continuing on foot for a few minutes.

Alternatively, it can be reached on foot with a longer hike (starting from Costalissoio). In winter the road is closed and you go up on foot, with snowshoes or skis, but there is also the option of organising the ascent by snowmobile.
